First Friday w/ MF Pottery

Mijanou Fortney is a ceramic artist and teacher in Leavenworth WA. She started MF Pottery in 2013. That same year she opened a community studio in a 100-year-old barn at Tierra Learning Center, where people can take classes and workshops or work independently during open studio hours.

Mijanou’s art is continually inspired by nature and pop culture combining elements from both to create one of a kind functional ceramic pieces. Her approach is multidisciplinary incorporating drawing and printmaking to add graphics to the pots of plants, fungi, or other shapes from the natural world.

Check her out on Instagram @MF_Pottery or come make your own pots at her studio

First Friday with Scandinative

Scandinative is the creative playground of Vada Morrison, a 30-year-old multi-hyphenate artist just out here trying to keep it together in the Chelan Valley. She’s got all the art goodies the girls, gays, and theys could ever need—prints, postcards, stickers, bookmarks, and original paintings. Her art? It's colorful, it's bold, it's occasionally funny, and it’s always made with absolute joy.
